As Head of Finance you own planning, reporting, cash and control, and you are the CEO’s partner on every decision that shapes the company’s financial future.
You are not only a controller. You are a hands-on finance leader who builds structure where it is needed, gives the board and management clear insight, and helps the business make faster, better decisions.
What you will do
- Own budgeting, forecasting and the multi-year business plan, including revenue planning and cash runway scenarios.
- Lead monthly and quarterly closing, management reporting and board reporting with clear, timely insight.
- Manage cash, working capital, invoicing and collections across customers and regions.
- Partner with the CEO and board on funding, investor and shareholder topics, and strategic options.
- Build and improve finance processes, tooling and internal controls that scale with the business.
- Coordinate with accountants, auditors, tax advisors and banks, and keep compliance on track.

- Closing and reporting cycles run on time with high quality and few surprises.
- Cash collection and working capital improve measurably.

What you bring
Essential
- A university degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field; RA, RC or equivalent is a plus.
- Solid experience in finance leadership, ideally in a scale-up, technology or B2B environment.
- Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, cash management and management reporting.
- Experience with board and shareholder reporting and with external auditors.
- A hands-on, structured approach and the confidence to challenge and advise management.
- Fluent English; Dutch is a strong advantage.
Valuable, but you can learn it here
- Experience with funding rounds, M&A or due diligence processes.
- Exposure to international entities, transfer pricing or multi-currency operations.
- Experience with project-based or hardware plus SaaS revenue models.
- Familiarity with modern ERP, BI and financial planning tools.
- Understanding of the energy or utility sector.
